Description We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Per Diem - Youth Advocates to join our team! As a Youth Advocate, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for our youth in the program. In this role, you’ll work closely with youth in need, supporting their growth, independence, and well-being. Whether providing day-to-day guidance, helping youth build life skills, or offering a listening ear, you will be an essential part of their journey toward self-sufficiency! What You Will be Doing to Make a Difference in the Lives of Youth: Supervise and maintain the safety of adolescents between the ages of (12-18) in the program Deliver services in a culturally competent manner Supports youth with developing daily living skills Implement as required interventions associated with treatment and service plan goals Participates in de-escalation and physical interventions of youth when required Implements and adheres to the behavioral support system of the program Acts as a positive role model for youth and coworkers, treating them with respect, dignity, understanding and fairness Provide per diem shift coverage Driving is required Requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 1 year experience working with adolescents is preferred (not required) Residential experience preferred Experience with systems (e.g. DMH, DCF) preferred Additional languages desirable, though not required Able to learn, carry out and be certified in CPI physical interventions, and de-escalation techniques Able to learn, carry out and be certified in CPR and first aid Bay State Community Services is an equal opportunity employer.
