Description The Youth and Young Adults Pastor/Director provides leadership and oversight for Rock Church Youth and Young Adult Ministries (YYA), which includes Middle School, High School, and College-Age/Young Adult groups (ages 18–29). This position is responsible for guiding team members and attendees to ensure the Rock Church pathway is being implemented effectively by growing disciples who use their gifts to know God, grow in community, and make a difference . In partnership with the Central YYA Department, the YYA Pastor/ Director plays a key role in advancing the vision and direction of the ministry, fostering spiritual growth, and developing leaders. This individual must be deeply committed to the Lord Jesus Christ, to Rock Church, and to their own ongoing spiritual and character development. This position reports directly to the Campus Pastor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the leadership and direction of the entire YYA Ministry at the assigned Campus Responsible for overseeing a YYA ministry model that will make disciples that use their gifts to know God, grow in community, and make a difference Responsible for recruitment, training, discipleship and mobilization of team members, group leaders, and student leaders Provide general oversight for the spiritual, emotional and relational development of coaches, captains, student leaders and team members within their ministry Responsible for the execution and development of all local YYA services. Including but not limited to Sunday Youth, Youth Midweek, and Rally Local Provide support to all Central YYA initiatives. Including but not limited to Rally Night, Future SD, ? Nights, Parent Connects, Refuels, etc… Maintains and grows a network of YYA small groups and clubs; both on campus and off-site Ensures all ministry numbers are accurately tracked and reported weekly Responsible for the upkeep of all financial and legal requirements of the ministry Able to provide biblical guidance to team members and YYA Follows MarComm department procedures to ensure all YYA Ministry and event information is current and communicated to staff and congregation Help plan and organize camps, team member enrichments, and parent gatherings Work collaboratively with the Central YYA team to determine best practices in ministry Collaborate with the Central YYA team to implement new strategies, curriculum, and or changes Create & maintain connections with local MS, HS, and College Age students to foster community involvement between the Rock YYA Ministry and the local schools Work directly with the Campus Pastor to coordinate calendars, curriculum and implement overall Central YYA Vision Work in partnership with campus Rock Kid’s Pastor/Director on programs that bridge ministries together. Including but not limited to Launch Party, ? Night, Parent Connect, etc… Participate in all campus related tasks requested by the Campus Pastor. Including but not limited to Sunday hosting, team huddle devotionals, campus meetings, campus events, etc… The above summary of duties represents the major tasks and duties.
