Position 1: Spanish-Speaking Art Specialist
We are seeking a passionate, Spanish-speaking Art Specialist to lead engaging and creative art classes for young learners. The ideal candidate will inspire students through hands-on projects, foster self-expression, and integrate cultural elements into lessons.

Schedule:

  • Fort Greene Charter School (11205):
  • Mondays: 4:00–5:00 PM (1st & 2nd Grade)
  • Wednesdays: 2:30–3:30 PM (Pre-K & Kindergarten)
  • PS 56 (Clinton Hill – 11238):
  • Tuesdays: 3:00–4:00 PM (Pre-K & Kindergarten)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate art lessons in Spanish.
  • Introduce students to various mediums (painting, drawing, collage, etc.).
  • Encourage creativity, collaboration, and self-confidence through art.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Spanish (required).
  • Experience teaching or leading art activities with children ages 3–7.
  • Creative, flexible, and enthusiastic educator.
  • Prior classroom or after-school experience strongly preferred.


Position 2: “Kitchen Creations” Culinary Art Specialist
We are also seeking a Culinary Art Specialist to lead our “Kitchen Creations” program, where students explore creativity through food. This unique role combines cooking, nutrition, and art, allowing students to experiment with fun, hands-on kitchen projects.

Schedule:

  • Fort Greene Charter School (11205):
  • Monday–Friday, 4:00–5:00 PM (Pre-K – 5th Grade, on different days)
  • PS 56 (Clinton Hill – 11238):
  • Wednesdays: 3:00–4:00 PM (Pre-K & Kindergarten)
  • Fridays: 3:00–4:00 PM (Pre-K & Kindergarten)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and teach engaging culinary lessons for elementary students.
  • Introduce students to safe cooking practices and basic food preparation.
  • Encourage creativity and teamwork through kitchen-based activities.
  • Foster curiosity about healthy eating and food culture.

Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching, cooking, or running culinary workshops with children.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and kid-friendly recipes.
  • Creative and enthusiastic about food and education.
  • Prior classroom or after-school experience strongly preferred.
