We aim to have a leadership and workforce that is reflective of the communities we work in partnership with.   Benefits Medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance, 403b retirement with employer matching and health savings account; wellness programs, healthy lifestyle incentives and employee assistance programs   Compensation $18.00 per hour for Full-Time, with $.25 increase after 6 months   Hours/Schedule Full-Time (includes overtime - mandated shifts and/or requirements) All shifts include evenings and weekends   Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with youth through role modeling. * Instruct, guide, and direct youth in matters of personal conduct, hygiene, appearance, social skills, academics, routines, and work habits. * Respond to youth's needs and promote growth of supportive professional relationships. * Actively use Therapeutic Crisis Intervention skills to de-escalate youth's level of stress. * Work collaboratively with all members of the youth's treatment team regarding behavioral, emotional, and medical needs. * Plan and supervise activities to promote social, vocational, and cultural needs, supporting various interests of each youth in such planning. * Transport youth to medical appointments, family visits, and other community visits as required. * General security of the cottage and campus. * Maintain confidentiality of each youth in care. * Attend and participate in required staff meetings, supervisory meetings, trainings and Treatment Team meetings. * Submit all necessary reports in a timely manner. * Other duties as assigned   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Must have excellent communication skills * Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented * Ability to work independently and be an enthusiastic team player * Ability to utilize physical restraints in accordance with safety protocols youth after successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training * Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, families, and community contacts Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED * Valid NYS Driver’s License required An EEO/AA Agency We want to emphasize that the preferred qualifications are not required and that we are committed to helping our future colleagues develop these preferred skills.
