Description
Are you passionate about empowering young adults and making a meaningful difference in your community? Are you ready to learn skills applicable across the human services field? And are you looking to work closely with a team of dedicated professionals? Join our Basic Needs Program in Burlington in the Supported Housing Program as a Youth Coach. All Spectrum staff, including Youth Coaches, are expected to participate in regular and ongoing supervision and training to best serve the youth we work with. This is a part-time, evening with weekends required, nonexempt position, which pays $21.00 per hour plus a $2.00 weekend shift differential. This position is eligible for accrued time off and health leave. In this role, you are an important part of the Spectrum community! Youth Coaches are the people working every day to support the young adults accessing our shelters. Youth Coaches help Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) ages 16-23 access basic needs, gain stability, learn independent life skills, take steps to heal from trauma, accomplish their goals, and build meaningful community.
Responsibilities
Youth Coaches support young adults in shelters by helping them access basic needs and gain stability. They also assist youth in learning independent life skills, healing from trauma, and achieving personal goals.
