Major League Baseball’s content department is looking for a creator with a passion for youth baseball and softball, social media, and growing the game at the amateur level. An understanding of social media platforms and trends is essential to elevate awareness of MLB’s youth baseball and softball programming. This position is entirely dedicated to the YOUTH events occurring in our baseball, softball, and girls’ baseball events..This role will work closely with MLB’s Baseball & Softball Development team, MLB Network, and a variety of content creation and publishing teams. The coordinator will report to the Manager of Youth Content, responsible for day-to-day content creation, editing, and publishing. Proficiency in video, photo, and graphic editing on Adobe Premiere and Photoshop is required. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. This position will be primarily based in the New York office with a few travel opportunities throughout the U.S. Responsibilities Working daily with the MLB Youth Social team and stakeholders in the Baseball & Softball Development space to develop youth content strategies Creating graphics and video edits using Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, and SLATE Assisting during on-site coverage at select events, directing content capturers, and youth participants to feature in videos, and long form pieces Identify and suggest new opportunities to amplify youth content across the entire suite of MLB Youth Social Media accounts (MLB Develops, Playball, MLB RBI) Collaborate with members of the content team, marketing team, and additional internal groups o ensure content is aligned and amplified through a strategic approach Constantly ideate and experiment with new and creative content formats or storylines Qualifications & Skills Love and understanding of baseball and softball with a passion for growing the game at the youth and amateur level 3+ years experience working in Social Media or digital content, coordinator or management experience is preferred Portfolio including graphics and video edits from your work using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop Familiarity with Social Media platforms, including a strong understanding of what content types work best by platform. (Instagram, X, TikTok) Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.) is preferred Experience with youth events, groups, and athletes is preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel Pay: $25.00 per hour The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
