The Good Seed Transition Age Youth Drop-In Center supports vulnerable and disadvantaged 18–25-year-olds across Los Angeles County. Our facility’s core services include a drop-in center, counselling, emergency and supported accommodation, guidance and advice around employment, education, vocation, housing, and training.

The Good Seed Transition Age Youth Drop-In Center’s mission is to enable young people from diverse backgrounds and with chaotic lifestyles to broaden their opportunities, realize their aspirations and optimize their well-being. We achieve this through the delivery of bespoke, holistic support packages helping them overcome disadvantage and reduce risk whilst facilitating the transition to independent adulthood.
DESCRIPTION:
The Youth Employment Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing programs aimed at assisting young individuals in finding and securing employment. This role involves providing career counseling, conducting job readiness workshops, and connecting youth with local employers and job opportunities. The specialist will also collaborate with community organizations, schools, and government agencies to create pathways for career development and address barriers to employment for youth. Additionally, the position requires maintaining detailed records of participant progress, preparing reports, and staying updated on labor market trends to ensure effective support and guidance for young job seekers. This role will be supervised by the Drop-In Center (DIC) Program Manager/Executive Support Administrator.
