Cowichan Valley Youth Services (CVYS) is hiring a Youth and Family Counsellor (Outreach) to join our dynamic, heart-centered team. In this role, you’ll provide direct counselling and outreach support to youth and their families across the Cowichan Valley. You’ll work both in-office and in the community, supporting mental wellness, personal growth, and stronger family connections.

Pay: $28.50 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide non-judgmental, confidential counselling to youth and families using a trauma-informed, response-based approach.
  • Offer individual, family, and group counselling, client advocacy, and community outreach.
  • Support clients with practical tasks related to their overall goals.
  • Participate in case planning and case management in collaboration with MCFD and other community partners.
  • Facilitate workshops, attend school meetings, and help raise awareness about CVYS programs and services.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes and reporting documentation.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive environment grounded in respect and empowerment.
