JOB SUMMARY:

Youth Challenge Oxfordshire is looking for a passionate and experienced Group Leader to support our dynamic youth programme in Wallingford. This role is perfect for someone with a background in youth work who thrives on building strong relationships and delivering hands-on, engaging sessions for young people who may struggle in traditional environments.
This exciting opportunity also involves working in partnership with the charity Train, a respected local youth organisation, to help deliver youth provisions to disadvantaged young people.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver our 12-month Youth Challenge programme, supporting a group of young people (aged 13–18) in weekly face-to-face sessions.
  • Plan and lead practical, inclusive, and fun activities, including team building, community action, and outdoor learning.
  • Reinforce a learning through doing approach when creating and delivering sessions
  • Help participants build confidence, resilience, and real-world skills.
  • Work in partnership with Train staff when supporting the local youth community.
  • Communicate regularly with Youth Challenge staff and attend occasional training or team meetings.
