Overview:
Harrow Council is seeking a Youth Justice Service (YJS) Practitioner to join our multi-agency, multi-professional team on a maternity cover basis.
The post holder will work in conjunction with other agencies, assisting with the planning, development and delivery of services for young people who have offended or are at risk of offending. In addition, you will take responsibility for the planning and delivery of individual programmes to prevent young people from becoming involved in crime and for those who have already offended, implementing these programmes with other Youth Justice Service workers.
The successful candidate will provide advice and consultation as appropriate to partner agencies on their work involving young people who have offended.
Although the role is based within an office environment, it will require client home visits and other external meetings across the local authority area, and beyond, including work in courts and the secure estate.
