Youth Program Instructors
Are you an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children aged 4 – 12? If you are creative and have an interest in teaching special skills or hobbies to youth and are looking for a way to connect with your community then the TCAG is the place for you.

We are currently hiring for the following youth program instructors:

• Lego Club Instructor - Monday’s 5:30 to 6:30pm
• Chess/Checkers Club Instructor - Wednesday’s 5:30 to 6:30pm
• Hip Hop/Dance Fusion Instructor - Thursday’s 5:45 to 6:45pm
• Outdoor Soccer Instructor - Friday’s 5:00 to 7:15pm (September only)
• Indoor Soccer Instructor - Thursday’s 5:15 to 7:00pm (Begins in October)
• Cooking Instructor - Friday’s 5:45 to 7:00pm
• Arts/Crafts/Games - Saturday’s 10:00am to 12:00pm
• Racquet Sports (Tennis, Badminton, Pickleball) - Saturday’s 1:30 to 3:15pm
• Substitute Instructors for all programs (cover vacation and sick calls)

Requirements:

• Previous experience and/or knowledge in the above noted areas.
• Experience working with youth.
• Ability to manage behaviours while instructing.
• Leadership, planning and organizational skills.
• Available at minimum one evening a week for an hour class.
• Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a program related to working with youth.
• High Five Certification is an asset.
• First Aid/CPR Certification is an asset.
• Police Vulnerable Sector check no older than 6 months. (mandatory)

Please note that our recreation and leisure programs run all year round with the exception of closures due to statutory holidays.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00 per hour

Experience:

• working with youth: 1 year (required)
• leading youth programs: 1 year (required)
