The Youth Research Analyst will focus on the realities shaping young people’s lives, offering data that guides youth ministry efforts, mentoring, and outreach strategies. Length of Service Commitment One year minimum Anticipated Time Commitments: 1. Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: 8-12 hours per week 2. Participating in meetings/training: 2-3 hours per month Responsibilities/Duties: 1. Research how systemic poverty (food insecurity, unstable housing, lack of resources) impacts youth development and participation as well as the impact of mental health, peer pressure, and academic stress. 2. Gather data on education equity and access for youth, focusing on school funding, curriculum disparities, and extracurricular opportunities. 3. Document the effects of systemic racism in schools, peer environments, and community spaces that shape youth experiences. 4. Track healthcare access, particularly around mental health, preventive care, and adolescent wellness. 5. Research youth perspectives on environmental degradation and its impact on health, safety, and future outlook. 6. Explore how false moral narratives of religious nationalism influence youth identity, belonging, and faith formation. 7. Research how militarization and the war economy affect youth through community violence, recruitment, or neighborhood instability. 8. Document the experiences of migrant youth, including barriers to education, peer integration, and access to resources. 9. Provide regular reports with data, trends, and recommendations to strengthen youth ministry.
