Youth Services Coordinator
Alexandra House is seeking a full-time Youth Services Coordinator to provide leadership, direction, and coordination of the Youth Services Program to ensure positive program partnerships are cultivated/maintained and trauma informed, quality services are provided.
This position is based out of our office located in the city of Andover.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist in developing, implementing and evaluating the Youth Services Program, in coordination with the Community Program Manager
Develop and/or update prevention education and support group materials/curriculum and ensure program staff have the resources and tools needed to effectively do their work.
Ensure effective, timely, and accurate data collection and report completion to ensure compliance with funder agreements, including reporting requirements.
Coordinate and prioritize program services and provide advocacy and support to youth victims of relationship and sexual violence, integrating an awareness and understanding of trauma.
Provide direct service advocacy, as needed, on behalf of victims of domestic and sexual violence integrating awareness and understanding of trauma.
Design, plan, and facilitate trauma informed support and education groups.
Conduct prevention education presentations in a variety of settings.
Build and enhance relationships with schools, community partners, and youth-focused organizations while educating community members and professionals about relationship violence, sexual violence, and Alexandra House services.
Ensure a trauma aware facility for program participants, staff, and volunteers.
Qualifications
Experience in social work, human services, nonprofit advocacy or related fields or Bachelor Arts degree (social work, nonprofit management or relevant) or equivalent combination of education and experience, minimum of 4 years.
Experience in leading teams, program planning and coordination, and mentoring/training staff.
Experience in curriculum development.
Experience providing trauma-informed advocacy to victims/survivors of abuse, with an understanding of the needs, options and resources available to youth victims of relationship and sexual violence.
Knowledge of and ability to advocate within various systems including social service, economic, legal, medical and healthcare systems.
Experience with supporting group facilitation.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated experience in public speaking.
Demonstrated skills & knowledge in using a variety of programs including (but not limited to) Word, Excel and Outlook, GSuite, Prezi, Instagram, and Hootsuite.
Commitment to and experience in working with people from diverse ethnic, cultural, social, economic backgrounds and lifestyles.
Valid driver’s license, current insurance and reliable car with the ability to travel to multiple locations throughout Anoka County.
Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to converse with individuals who speak prevalent language in the service area (e.g., Spanish, Somali, Arabic, Oromo or English – bilingual)
40-hour sexual assault certification or the ability become certified within six months of date of hire.

Starting Salary Range
$46,668.91– $52,594.38 DOQ, with a full benefit package including retirement plan, vacation & medical accrual
Hours
Generally, 8am – 4:30 pm, M – F, with ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate program needs
