Build meaningful relationships with youth participants, providing guidance, mentorship, and emotional support. Facilitate engaging group activities focused on mental health, self-expression, and personal development. Create a safe and inclusive environment where youth feel heard, valued, and supported. Assist in developing and implementing workshops on topics such as resilience, coping strategies, conflict resolution, and self-care. Monitor and respond to the emotional and behavioral needs of youth with sensitivity and professionalism. Collaborate with program staff, mental health professionals, and community partners to enhance program offerings. Maintain accurate documentation of participant engagement, progress, and any concerns. Uphold confidentiality and ethical guidelines while ensuring youth safety and well-being. Bachelor's degree (or working toward) in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Youth Development, or a related field (preferred but not required). Previous experience in youth programs, mentoring, counseling, or mental health services is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate youth. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, positive youth development, and cultural competency. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
