SHIFTS

We are looking for someone to join the team on a casual basis who has the ability to provide support on a 24/7 rotating roster.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in working with people who have experience with high behaviours of concerns and a history of childhood trauma.
  • Ability to implement individualised developmental programs.
  • Experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Experience in various models of support preferred.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in service delivery.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking Youth Worker’s who are wanting to join an energetic team! If you are passionate about building meaningful relationships and making a real difference in people’s lives, you would be a great fit for our organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be able to work as part of a team to deliver high quality care to young people in a residential facility.
  • Direct service work with young people in the program.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe, secure and planned environment wherein the young person’s developmental needs are effectively met as per program guidelines.
  • Understand the impact of trauma on behaviours of children in care.
  • Implement current practices in therapeutic interventions for children in care with regard to trauma and attachment.
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive education/living skills for young people.
  • Undertake designated case functions and tasks as per individual client plans.
  • Provide opportunities for the development of resident young people’s social and recreational skills.
  • Liaise with schools, DHS, Centrelink, and other relevant agencies regarding matters in relation to individual young people.
  • Meet Administrative and documentation requirements of the agency.
  • General household tasks including shopping, cooking, maintenance and cleaning.
  • Other duties within capability as directed from time to time.
