GFC work alongside it’s Gloucester based sister company, which is a young person focused company who began offering a Supported Living service in 2020. When the company was established, our mission was to create a “sense of belonging to all” from the young people and children that we support, to our growing team of employees who are delivering our ethos and vision.
Team work is key in everything that we do, we know that there can be some days that are harder than others in our line of work, so people are at the heart of every decision we make. We not only offer staff regular supervisions and mentoring with their senior team, we also invest in regular clinical supervisions with external mental health professionals. We also believe that Support Work and shift work can be flexible, we work really hard to accommodate individuals in our team.
Support Workers are expected to develop and enhance good working practice for themselves and consistently promote GFC’s values, implement policies and ensure safeguarding children and young people is central to all practice.
Our work environment includes:
For the role of full time, permanent Support Worker you will work 37.5 hours per week across varying shift patterns, with a commitment to weekly sleep shifts.
Your salary will be £26,000 per annum, PLUS sleep shifts.
Current sleep shift rate £72 per night
You will be entitled to 28 days of holiday per year (measured in hours). BFC opt out of ‘Bank Holidays’ and allow staff to use Bank Holiday hours as regular annual leave as they wish.
You will be entitled to private healthcare after one year of service.
You will report to our Registered Service Manager.
