Join our team as a Youth Support Worker and make a positive impact on the lives of our young people!
Location: Chorley
Salary: £12.60 - £12.90 per hour (dependent on level of qualification)
Sleep Rate: £55.00 per sleep
Overtime Rate: £15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

As a Support Worker you will become an essential part of a young person’s life by delivering support that is focused on all aspects of their health, wellbeing, independence, and development.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working in accordance with our company values of Everyone Matters, Inspire, Teamwork, Resilience and Excellence & Quality.
  • Providing an outstanding quality of support.
  • Building and maintaining appropriate positive relationships with our young people; colleagues; and professionals/outside agencies.
  • Providing a safe and positive living environment for our young people.
  • Providing domestic support within the unit.
  • Working with a young person on a one-to-one basis.
  • Ensuring our young people feel heard and are able to communicate their individual wants, needs and wishes.
  • Managing conflict and challenging behaviour appropriately with the aim of producing positive outcomes.
  • Working as part of a team.
  • Committing to developing your professional knowledge and skillset.
  • Working shifts as part of a rolling rota (including long shifts, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays).

Experience of a similar role would be beneficial; however, it is not essential because we pride ourselves on facilitating a bespoke learning and development programme that encourages career progression within our organisation and the profession.
