ABOUT US

Pennine Youth Support is an Ofsted-registered provider of semi-independent supported accommodation for young people aged 16–18+. Our service is built around safeguarding, independence building, and compliance with the 2023 Supported Accommodation Regulations.

STRICT APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Applications will only be accepted from candidates who meet all of the following:
1. Experience: Minimum of 1 year working directly in 16+ semi-independent supported accommodation.
2. DBS: Already registered with the Enhanced DBS Update Service.
3. Qualifications: Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent recognised qualification.
4. Training: Have up-to-date, sector-relevant training and certificates (e.g., Safeguarding, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Equality & Diversity, GDPR, Self-Harm & Suicide Awareness).
5. Driving Licence: Full driving licence required.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As bank staff, you will provide flexible cover across our semi-independent homes, supporting young people to develop life skills, maintain safety, and progress towards independence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver structured key work sessions and life skills support.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
  • Support daily living activities including budgeting, cooking, and attending appointments.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and accurate record keeping.
  • Work flexibly across shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
