ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working with young people or vulnerable groups
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to maintain boundaries and manage challenging behaviour calmly
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and trauma-informed approaches
  • Comfortable using basic digital tools (email, forms, record systems)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

The Youth Support Worker is responsible for providing one-to-one and group-based support to young people living in Tifa Life accommodation. The role involves delivering key work sessions, helping young people build independence, and ensuring they are linked with appropriate services such as healthcare, education, legal aid, and community networks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day support to young people aged 16–25 in semi-independent or supported accommodation
  • Deliver structured key work sessions focused on life skills, integration, and independence
  • Support young people with tasks such as budgeting, cooking, travel, form filling, and understanding UK systems
  • Assist with move-in and induction processes, including orientation and initial assessments
  • Maintain accurate and timely support records using our digital CRM
  • Support GP, college, solicitor, and benefits appointments as needed
  • Contribute to safeguarding monitoring and risk management in line with policies
  • Liaise with social workers, education providers, and other professionals
  • Encourage engagement in positive activities and promote emotional wellbeing
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and reflective practice
