Youth Support Workers, Wakeover hours – Dunedin/Ōtepoti Full time Overnight role – 11pm – 7am Make a genuine difference in the lives of Rangatahi As a Wakeover Support Worker, you will provide active overnight support within a residential care setting. Your role is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Rangatahi, respond to any needs during the night, and maintain consistent routines that support their overall wellbeing. You will be part of a supportive, values-driven team working together to create a stable and nurturing environment. About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga You will maintain a safe, structured and calm environment for rangatahi overnight and respond to distress or needs as they arise. Experience in positive behaviour support and working with complex behaviours is highly valued. What you will bring | Ngā pūkenga mō tēnei tūranga Strong patience, resilience and communication skills Understanding of strengths-based, trauma-informed practice Experience in positive behaviour support The ability to remain calm, alert and responsive overnight The ability to work collaboratively with the wider Youth Team, complete clear documentation and handovers. You must also hold a Full NZ Driver Licence, have, (or be willing to obtain) a First Aid Certificate, be eligible to work in Aotearoa New Zealand, and be available for at least one weekend shift per week.
