PURPOSE
Reporting to the Manager of Wellness Services, the Youth Wellness Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering culturally relevant wellness programs and services aimed at supporting the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Gwich’in youth. This role focuses on fostering resilience, cultural identity, and positive development through connection to Gwich’in traditions, community, and healthy lifestyles. The coordinator works closely with youth, families, Elders, community organizations, and Gwich’in Tribal Council (GTC) departments to promote holistic wellness and create safe, inclusive spaces for youth engagement. This position contributes to GTC’s strategic priorities in youth empowerment, health promotion, and cultural continuity under the Gwich’in Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement (GCLCA).
