Job Summary:
Beyond Earlston is seeking two passionate Youth Workers to support vulnerable children transitioning from primary to secondary school. This is a relationship-focused role offering consistent, nurturing support across school, home, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored transition programmes for small groups (1–3 young people).
- Build trusting relationships and provide consistent adult presence.
- Facilitate engaging activities like nature visits, swimming, and creative outings.
- Collaborate with families, schools, and partner agencies.
- Monitor progress and contribute to team development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children and young people facing barriers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility across settings and commitment to safeguarding.
- Driving licence and access to a car required.
Desirable:
- Qualifications in youth work, social work, or education.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
- Experience in outdoor or community-based learning.
Additional Info:
- Evening and holiday work may be required.
- Advanced Child Protection Certificate and references needed.
