OVERVIEW

The Youth Worker plays a vital role in supporting and empowering young people within the community. This position involves working closely with children and adolescents to foster their personal development, enhance their social skills, and provide guidance in various aspects of their lives. The Youth Worker will create a safe and engaging environment where young individuals can thrive, learn, and express themselves.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in teaching or facilitating learning experiences for children or young adults.
  • Strong background in youth work or related fields, demonstrating an understanding of the developmental needs of young people.
  • Excellent mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motivate youth towards achieving their goals.
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with young people, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
  • A compassionate approach with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with young individuals from varied backgrounds. This role is essential for nurturing the next generation, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed both personally and academically.
