Lively, fun, ‘sick’… these are some of the words our members use to describe Inspire. Working with young people age 8-19 (25 with additional needs), we transform lives, helping them be the best they can be.

THE ROLE

This role involves working with our Seniors (ages 12 up to 19 years old). The Recreation area is the heart of Inspire and the social hub – its a flexible space where anything can happen. As a member of the rec team you’ll be ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme in which anybody can participate. You’ll help to create a space that is warm, welcoming, active and full of life and challenge. Together with the Junior/Senior Coordinators, you will develop and implement a recreational programme that is exciting, challenging and ever changing. The role is 100% face to face delivery with young people.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with young people to build positive relationships and develop their skills
• Deliver a high-quality programme of activity that is exciting, safe, varied, innovative, developmental, and directly responds to the diverse needs and interests of members
• Comply with all policies and procedures, with particular reference to safeguarding, codes of conduct, health and safety and equality and diversity to ensure all activities are accessible
• Undertake and attend regular training and development sessions and events where required
• Ensure that members maintain a high standard of behaviour and discipline during sessions by making the area a hub of activity and fun
• Enthuse others including staff, volunteers & young people.
• To make the environment fun and the place to be. Represent Inspire positively and effectively in all dealings with internal colleagues, and external partners
