Young People’s Services are recruiting for an enthusiastic and well-motivated Youth Worker to support and empower children and young people in Youth Voice activities. The YPS participation offer empowers children and young people from across the Borough to influence and inform the decisions that affect their lives. The service supports young people to get involved in their communities and democratic processes locally, regionally and nationally, making a difference as volunteers, campaigners, decision-makers and leaders. Young people achieve this by being involved in our youth forums, takeover challenges and young people’s events.
This is a 3hr (per week) position within the Participation and Youth Voice projects working flexibly on an evening, weekend and residentials. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic person who enjoys supporting and working with a diverse range of young people across Blackburn with Darwen and with our partner youth organisations.
