One Acre Fund runs a pilot program in Zambia’s Central Province. Our Zambia pilot is exploring ways we can help farmers improve harvests on larger plots of land, which are common in the country. Our office in Zambia is located in Kabwe, the capital of the Central Province. About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and leadership-driven Field MEL Senior Officer to spearhead our data collection efforts. In this role, you will be the bridge between technical survey design and high-quality field execution. You will not only manage a large team of officers but also serve as the primary guardian of data integrity, ensuring that every data point collected is accurate, timely, and verifiable.You will build strong farmer relationships as the face of One Acre Fund to help serve more farmers with greater impact Responsibilities Manage 9–12 officers, providing master training and field coaching to ensure the team is ready for every survey. Spearhead field data collection using KoboToolbox while performing back-checks to guarantee 100% data accuracy Track team KPIs and error reports daily, stepping in to retrain weak enumerators and solve field challenges. Build trust as the face of One Acre Fund and deliver clear progress updates that help us better serve our farmers. For this role specifically, you will have: Basic to intermediate skills in Google Sheets for data tracking and reporting with the ability to interpret KPI trackers and harvest sheets to make data-driven decisions. Hands-on experience using CommCare, Kobo or similar mobile data collection software on tablets. Excellent communication skills for reporting and inter-departmental collaboration. Experience managing large distributed teams ( 7+staff) and conflict resolution. Proven experience in field-based data collection or monitoring and evaluation Willingness to travel extensively within assigned districts for field visits.
