Voor restaurant Taste of India Utrecht zijn wij op zoek naar een ervaren en enthousiaste zelfstandig werkende kok (fulltime).
Restaurant Taste of India is gevestigd in een sfeervolle werfkelder aan de bekende Oudegracht, in het hart van de stad. Onze menukaart is even divers als India zelf, met gerechten uit zowel de Noord- als Zuid-Indiase keuken. In onze keuken werken wij met originele authentieke Indiase recepten.
Onze koks werken vanuit een open keuken en zij roosteren, malen en mengen de kruidenblends zelf, voor de ultieme Indiase smaakbeleving. Onze gerechten worden à la minute klaargemaakt, waardoor we ook rekening kunnen houden met speciale dieetwensen.
Je komt terecht in een internationaal team waar Engels de voertaal is. Onze chefkok leert je de kneepjes van het vak; hoe je de naanbroden maakt, de tandoori gerechten en de curries.

· Brutosalaris tussen € 2.450 - € 2.810 per maand (volgens Horeca CAO)

We are looking for a SELF EMPLOYED COOK I
For restaurant Taste of India Utrecht, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic self-employed cook (full-time).
Restaurant Taste of India is located in an attractive wharf cellar on the famous Oudegracht, in the heart of the city. Our menu is as diverse as India itself, with dishes from both North and South Indian cuisine. In our kitchen, we work with original authentic Indian recipes.
Our chefs work from an open kitchen and they roast, grind and blend the spice blends themselves, for the ultimate Indian taste experience. Our dishes are prepared à la minute, which also allows us to cater for special dietary requirements.
You will join an international team where English is the official language. Our chef will teach you the tricks of the trade; how to make naan breads, tandoori dishes and curries.

WHAT WE ASK OF YOU:

· Self-employed cook I
· Demonstrated knowledge of basic cooking techniques (MBO 3).
· Prepare various dishes à la minute where you ensure quality, taste, doneness and colour and work according to established quality standards, methods and recipes.
· Compliance with hygiene rules and guidelines (HACCP)
· Stock and order management is also part of your duties.
· You will supervise the work of the kitchen assistant
· You are quality-oriented; stress-resistant and flexible;
· You are hospitable and guest-oriented;
· You have a positive attitude and can work well in a team;
· You can communicate well in Dutch or English;
· You don’t mind working during the day, evenings and weekends
· We are looking for candidates from the Netherlands or the EU;

WHAT WE OFFER YOU:

· Gross salary between € 2,450 - € 2,810 per month (according to Horeca CAO)
