The Zero Harm Projects & Governance Specialist role will support the delivery of strategic and operational safety initiatives across the Transport & Infrastructure business. You’ll help drive a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and simplification in safety practices. This role is ideal for a proactive safety professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about influencing positive change. This role offers national flexibility and can be performed from any major city in Australia.

• Support the development and implementation of Zero Harm strategies, governance frameworks, and risk management programs.
• Lead and contribute to safety culture initiatives, training content, and performance reporting.
• Analyse safety data and trends to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with operational leaders and Zero Harm Business Partners to embed best practices.
• Facilitate change management, training, and communication across the business.
• Support compliance with legislation, standards, and Downer’s internal Zero Harm systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including clients, regulators, and industry groups.
