Description The Roadhouse is hiring a AM Kitchen Supervisor! Hours: 5am-4pm 4 days per week, weekends and flexibility required Compensation: $22-$24 per hour Success Patterns: The ideal candidate for the position Has two to three years cooking experience in a variety of kitchens, including both high-end and high-volume environments Demonstrated cooking technique Solid experience running a line Ability to successfully lead teams Has a reputation for excellent relations with front of the house staff Has a reputation for maintaining a safe and clean kitchen Has weekend availability Attends weekly Chefs huddle Desired Personal Characteristics Passionate about great food and great service Well organized and able to multitask Detail-oriented Self-motivated, especially under pressure High level of integrity and honesty Strong organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Flexible and hardworking Able to set priorities Able to effectively manage their emotions in the workplace Performance Expectations The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for delivering the Roadhouse food experience to all guests. This position reports to the Sous Chef. Prepares and cooks food according to Zingerman’s Roadhouse standards. Ensures that all food meets quality and presentation standards. Completes Training Passport within the stated timeframes and continues to live the Training Compact. Participates/leads in DOR huddles Effectively trains and manages other staff members Maintains great communication and check-ins between line cooks, sous chefs/managers, and front of the house Maintains a strong sense of what is going on in the whole restaurant during the shift. Able to work all positions on the line (ie grill, sauté, pantry, fry, etc) and run the line.
Responsibilities
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for delivering the Roadhouse food experience to all guests by preparing and cooking food according to standards, ensuring quality and presentation. This role involves effectively training and managing staff, maintaining communication across departments, and being able to work all positions on the line.
