POSITION TITLE: Rotational Zone Manager LOCATION: Inuvik, Nunavut POSITION TYPE: Rotational 6x6, Permanent; Monday to Saturday SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret REPORTS TO: Operations Manager ABOUT US: Nasittuq Corporation (from the Inuktitut word meaning “looking out from the highest point”) operates and maintains the North Warning System (NWS), a critical joint Canada-US radar network with 47 sites across Northern Canada.    OUR CORE VALUES—Safety, Diversity, Integrity, Social Responsibility, Environmental Stewardship, and Agility—guide everything we do. WHAT YOU’LL DO: As a Zone Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient management and daily operations of North Warning System (NWS) sites in your assigned zone. Your leadership will ensure smooth logistics, staff supervision, and operational effectiveness. * Supervise and support all site employees, ensuring safe and efficient operations * Oversee daily logistics, site maintenance, and resource allocation in alignment with Nasittuq priorities * Ensure compliance with company policies, Collective Bargaining Agreements, security protocols, and safety regulations * Coordinate with internal teams, including Long Range Radar (LRR) Site Supervisors and Logistics Support Site (LSS) staff, to manage site operations * Conduct regular inspections and ensure timely reporting of maintenance, safety, and operational issues * Manage budget planning and execution for the assigned zone * Train, coach, and evaluate staff performance to maintain a highly skilled workforce * Represent Nasittuq in community and client interactions, fostering positive relationships * Travel to Short Range Radar (SRR) sites as required * Perform other duties as assigned WHO YOU ARE: Education/Certificates/Licenses: * Post-secondary education or certification in a technical or trade-related field * Valid driver’s license Experience: * Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in operations, maintenance, or logistics within a technical or trade-related field * Previous leadership experience, including supervising unionized employees Skills & Competencies: * Strong knowledge of work/project management practices related to remote site operations * Proven leadership, team building, mentoring, and facilitation skills * Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills * Ability to work cross-culturally and manage multiple priorities effectively * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications * Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills * Ability to speak Inuktitut is an asset Why Join Us? * Rotation & Overtime: 6 weeks in/6 weeks out rotation, 48 hours per week, Paid travel days (up to 2 days) and all travel costs covered. * Living Arrangements: Private accommodations with prepared meals, Wi-Fi, TV, laundry facilities, and recreational options. * Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; employer-matched pension plan (5%). * Additional Perks: Arctic gear provided, annual safety footwear allowance of $175, and a $500 referral bonus for bringing in qualified colleagues. * Career Growth: Access to training and skill development, with reasonable expenses covered. * Vacation Pay: 6% for employees under five years and 8% for those with over five years of tenure. * Northern Living Allowance: Additional biweekly allowance for employees residing in designated northern communities: Inuvik, Cambridge Bay, Sanirajak, and Iqaluit. ______________________________________________________________________ Land Claim Beneficiaries of the Nunavut, Inuvialuit, and Nunatsiavut Land Claim Agreements will be prioritized.
