JOB SUMMARY:

The Zone Supervisor leads their assigned area of Concession stands by ensuring accurate inventories, quality customer service, proper sanitation and food preparation, adherence to alcohol laws and policy enforcement, and maintains a safe work environment for all group volunteers.

Responsibilities
  • Audit Stand Inventories
  • Works with the Stand Leader to audit inventory counts in assigned stands.
  • Must approve beginning inventory count changes. If noticeable discrepancies are found, the Level Supervisor must be informed prior to gates opening.
  • If a stand is significantly over or short at the conclusion of an event, the Zone Supervisor must recount the stand with stand leader
  • Coach groups in proper food preparation
  • Ensure groups are following proper food preparation according to the recipes in the stand handbook
  • Evaluate each stand’s prep levels based on last season’s sales mix located on the back cover of the stand handbook or prep levels given by Operations Manager.
  • Ensure that high food quality is served to GUESTS
  • Test concession food throughout the course of the game to ensure the highest quality is maintained.
  • Cooking times of highly perishable food items will be controlled. (i.e. not cooking a bag of fries 30 minutes before gates opening.) Utilize the prep notes in regards to cooking times for these types of items.
  • Check food for temperature, presentation, taste and quality (freshness).
  • Review stand staffing with Zone Supervisor making sure every position is covered.
  • If the stand is short-staffed, please contact Staffing office on channel 10
  • Review all stand organization
  • Review each Stand organization to ensure that the stand is ready to open and sell product, that the group maintains proper sanitation, keeps their inventory organized, and they clean as they go.
  • Review with the Stand Leaders and Group the gratis & spoilage sheets at the end of the game.
  • Always Anticipate business flow
  • Be mindful of the elements that are the variables from week to week (i.e. weather, Kick-off time and strength of the opponent).
  • Be visible
  • Manage by walking around your area. Zone Supervisor should be attentively walking their stands as well as the eating areas around their sections, addressing
  • Ensure all stands in your assigned area have been trained on our stadium alcohol policies prior to gates opening.
  • Train all new group members about alcohol laws and our stadium alcohol rules and regulations.
  • Conduct a Stand Leader meeting prior to gates opening to communicate any information that was learned from the meeting conducted (use Pre-game meeting outline).
  • Make sure all Stand Leaders and Group Leads have stand meetings before gates open.
  • At each event, randomly attend some Stand Meetings to evaluate the information given and the quality of their meetings.
  • Ensure that everyone is exhibiting quality customer service.
  • Facilitate customer service practices throughout each stand they are responsible for.
  • Handle complaints by attentively listening to the guest’s concerns and address their issues with respect and the best of your ability.
  • Document the incident positive or negative.
  • Effective teamwork through radio etiquette and timely responses to call
  • Be mindful of radio etiquette and not “talking” over other radio calls.
  • Unlock and Lock all doors and refrigerators in your stands.
  • Responsible for their concession stand locks
  • Arrive in time to unlock all of their stand doors before their Stand Mangers arrive.
  • Secure all their locks at the end of each event
  • Post- Event Duties:
  • Review stand detailed cleaning at the end of each event
    o Ensure Stands sheets, Cash Sheets, Event day paper for are filled properly and is signed off.
