Kindred Hospital Paramount and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is 177-bed hospital. With 159 long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) beds, we offer the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. Our 18-bed ARU is designed for people who have experience the debilitating effects of an acute injury, impairment or illness and like the LTACH, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. Job Summary Assists with medication preparation, repacking, and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Supports medication reconciliation and clinical monitoring to assure medications are safe and effective. Adheres to state and federal regulations. Reports to the Director of Pharmacy. Essential Functions Assists Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication Prepares and delivers medications to patient care units as appropriate Restocks and manages expiration dating in automated medication dispensing machine inventory Orders and stores medications Properly unit doses medications that do not come prepackaged Processes records of medication dispensed to patient, computes charges, and generates required computer reports as needed Performs backup procedures correctly Monitors drug therapy for appropriateness under the supervision of the licensed pharmacist Provides and documents clinical interventions, therapy recommendations, and other clinical activities according to department policy and procedure and state regulations Participates in the Medication Reconciliation activities of the Pharmacy Department Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounds per USP standards Maintains positive relationships with all customers Complies with regulatory and accreditation standards Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Good math and science skills Approximate percent of time required to travel: 0%25 Must read, write and speak fluent English Must have good and regular attendance Performs other related duties as assigned Salary Range: $21.00 - $21.73/Hour ScionHealth has a comprehensive benefits package for benefit-eligible employees that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness.
