POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Chief Chemist, is responsible for assisting with tasks and duties in the Compliance and Quality Control Section, including but not limited to the following: MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists the laboratory technicians with day-to-day routine sampling and experiments at the WPCP. Keeps lab tidy and assists with glass washing, data entry and sampling at the WPCP. Assists the Environmental Inspector with sampling and field work at SWRF as well as at public sites. May assist the Process Engineer at WPCP with special projects with Chief Chemists approval. Under the direction of the Chief Chemist, may take on special projects and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Secondary school graduation & enrolled in a program in the natural sciences (chemistry or environmental engineering program preferred) or equivalent, at a college or university.
