Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Business Analyst supporting the Integration and Reference (IR) team
• Assist business architects in defining the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data
• Perform analysis and mappings of internal and external concepts to architecture products
• Assist business architects in developing logical and conceptual information models (using UML) to show relationships of internal and external concepts to architecture products
• Assist business architects in special taskings and analysis work, including identification and analysis of reference architecture
• Provide integration support by working with business architect to identify methodologies to analyze architecture elements and define the associations between them
• Assist with storing and maintaining data and related associations in the architecture repository (currently in SQL Server)
• Assist with analysis of architecture repository data to respond to requests from stakeholders for information to inform work efforts or decision-making
• Assist with development of data visualizations using business intelligence tools (like Power BI) to provide information to stakeholders in a consumable format
• Work with team members to propose solutions that solve/alleviate client problems
• Provide regular status reporting and quarterly status briefs on ongoing team work efforts
• Assist with support to IT governance activities regarding capital allocations to programs
• Participate in team meetings and assist with development of meeting materials and minutes, as needed

Requirements:

• 1-3 years relevant experience performing business or data analysis, process/information modeling, or requirements capture
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent years of experience
• Familiarity with business architecture concepts or principles
• Experience performing “mapping” or “traceability” among architectural constructs (e.g., processes, information/data, capabilities, systems, etc.)
• Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools and methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technical and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including SharePoint and Teams
• Direct customer engagement experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional desired skills:

• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) a plus
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and query development a plus
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools such as Microsoft Visio or equivalent a plus
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF, Zachman) a plus
• Experience working on government contracts/projects (specifically with VA or DoD) a plus
• Healthcare experience a plus
