The successful candidate will assist the Head Golf Coach in all aspects of the program, including skill development, practice planning, competition management, and fostering a positive team culture. The Assistant Coach will serve as a role model for student-athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, academic responsibility, and personal growth both on and off the course.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Head Coach in developing and implementing practice sessions and match strategies.Provide individualized instruction to student-athletes to enhance skills, technique, and knowledge of the game.Assist with supervision of practices, matches, travel, and team functions.Promote an inclusive, positive, and supportive environment for all athletes.Uphold the mission and values of the Massabesic Athletics program and RSU 57.Ensure compliance with school, league, and Maine Principals Association (MPA) policies.QualificationsPrior coaching and/or competitive golf experience preferred.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, school administration, athletes, and parents.Must meet all RSU 57 and MPA coaching certification requirements, including background check and CPR/First Aid training.Application ProcessInterested candidates should apply through the RSU 57 Frontline Application System.
