Demonstrates appropriate judgment in management of patient questions and/or complaints. Must have insurance knowledge re: referrals and pre-authorizations. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Attends and participates in staff/team meetings. Perform any additional duties as assigned. License Practical Nurse Works as an integral member of the health care team Greets and prepares patients to see physician/mid-level provider. Collects and records data for health history including height, weight, BP, pulse, temperature, respirations, medication, and allergies as indicated Administers specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, and notes time and amount on patients Performs phlebotomy and is responsible for ensuring appropriate lab slips are prepared Maintains log of lab tests ordered and follows up with reference lab as necessary Assists provider with simple procedures.
