Meet Eva
Eva is a Systems Analyst - Investigations in our Loss Prevention Department. She is responsible for using and maintaining the resources of the Loss Prevention Systems Investigations Support and Analytics team to reduce shrink and aid in the prosecution and resolution of incidents of theft, fraud and other losses against TJX Canada. This position also has responsibilities related to intelligence analysis, statistics, reporting and training to support the Loss Prevention department.

Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Systems Analyst - Investigations, we’d ask you to do the following:

  • Use relevant Loss Prevention Systems (Aspect, Refund Authorization System, Exception Reports, etc.) to detect and prove theft, fraud and other losses.
  • Report suspected and proven incidents of theft, fraud and other losses to appropriate members of LP for investigation and resolution.
  • Maintain and facilitate the use of relevant Loss Prevention Systems to maximize results by members of LP.
  • Provide additional investigative, technical and training support to field LP as required.
  • Produce periodical reporting and analysis of results, statistics, performance, training and other relevant measures within the LP business.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics related to investigations and activity.
  • Maintain the Refund Authorization System and respond to related caller inquiries.
  • Support the LP Systems Investigations Supervisor with documentation, training, systems administration, development, exploratory and project tasks as required.
  • Ensure proper handling and containment of highly sensitive and confidential information and data.

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail investigations and experience with Internal Investigations.
  • Must have High School Diploma, Post-Secondary Education is preferred.
  • Must have proven experience in the use of software investigative and exception reporting tools.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of and ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office, databases, web-based tools, email, etc.
  • Must possess strong investigative methodologies and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Criminal Code related to relevant offences and case law.
  • Must possess superior time management, organizational and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations and processes.
  • Preferably possess a valid driver’s license and respectable abstract.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: a team player; friendly, professional and approachable.
  • Communication skills (written; verbal; and professional interactions) in English. French would be an asset.
  • Must work well under pressure, be a self-starter and work with little or no supervision.
  • Must embody the TJX Canada core values.
