MINIMUM AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, education, business, advanced technologies, or related field

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

• Minimum (3) years of experience as a program coordinator, project or grant coordinator/manager, and/or as management within advanced technologies, education, workforce development, government, and/or employment training
• Experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds and disabilities; demonstrated commitment to promoting access and diversity
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and 365 including intermediate-level knowledge of word processing, presentation, database, email applications, and beginning-level knowledge of spreadsheet applications
• Current driver’s license, insurance and access to reliable automobile during work hours for transportation to off-campus sites. Must have at least three (3) years of driving history.
  Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, nonprofit administration, business or related field
• Familiar with MHCC and/or Greater East Multnomah County community demographics
• Familiar with high demand, high skill industries in the Greater East Multnomah County

Essential Duties

• Coordinates, collaborates, facilitates, implements, and tracks the work of related grant projects with use of a project plan and related tools.
• Oversees the day-to-day program budget ensuring spending is within grant budget allocation; provides input and direction to the budget planning process.
• Ensures that grant reporting requirements are met and deliverables are submitted on schedule. Reviews and evaluates program performance for compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, and makes recommendations for program improvement to ensure MHCC meets contractual and performance requirements.
• Facilitates timely grant and project communications with grantor and program leadership.
• Collaborates with the college marketing team, community and industry partners, and advanced manufacturing and cybersecurity programs to develop and produce recruitment documents and activities that promote a more inclusive program for staff, prospective students, and the community.
• Supports program students, faculty, resource specialists/coaches, administrators, and partners in creating and implementing new programs.
• Engages and fosters relationships with community colleges, trades industry employers, unions, and organizations, chambers of commerce, local workforce investment boards, community-based organizations, local, regional and state government programs and staff, and other industry partners and similar organizations to develop partnerships and expand programs.
• Engages with and supports faculty and trainers to create or adapt curriculum and flexible delivery and assessment modalities.
• Communicates project objectives to a broad range of stakeholders and convenes community and industry partners to achieve desired outcomes. Prepares and processes correspondence, meeting and presentation materials, and other related grant documents
