2H is a multi-award-winning interior design firm in business for over 30 years. Its primary focus is residential interiors with a local, national, and international client base.
We’re a small collaborative team with a make-it-happen attitude and we’re looking for a creative and resourceful designer to join our Ottawa-based office.
The successful candidate will have a refined design sensibility, and a personable approach that contributes positively to 2H’s strategic goals. This is an in-office based position in a hands-on team environment.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Minimum three to five years’ experience in residential and/or commercial design supported through formal education in interior design or architectural technology
• Experience with AutoCAD and construction drawings

• Interior Design: 3 years (preferred)

• Information preparation, site measuring, general research and sourcing of materials
• Attend site meetings to determine project criteria and gather information
• Proficient in Interior Design software skills (i.e. AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft programs)
• Prepare working drawings in AutoCAD
• Prepare 3D drawings using SketchUp
• Prepare presentation boards and other presentation materials
• Cataloguing - specs/materials
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and clients
• Design support, including installations
• Other miscellaneous design and administrative support
