Lead technical planning, sprint scoping, and alignment with cross-functional product teams. Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers, promoting best practices and engineering standards. Set and uphold standards for code quality, observability, performance, and reliability. Contribute to core systems that enable global financial identity verification and risk management. Implement backend services and design architecture for high reliability and automation. Take proactive ownership of tasks, address technical challenges, and propose innovative solutions. Participate in code reviews, incident troubleshooting, and on-call support as required. The ideal candidate will have: 10+ years of backend engineering experience, with 4+ years in a lead or team lead role. Proven expertise designing and scaling complex distributed systems, preferably in Go. Experience managing and maintaining large codebases and microservices architectures. Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL. Proficiency with cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Kubernetes. Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
