Description Description WHO WE ARE Shady Grove Orthopedics, an Aligned Orthopedic Partners Company, is a prominent multi-subspecialty orthopedic and spine private practice in Rockville, MD is developing an in-house Medical Scribe Program and is looking to hire multiple individuals interested in learning how to become a Medical Scribe. WHAT YOU WILL DO The Scribe with speed and accuracy will assist the orthopedic physician by accompanying him during daily office visits to record all aspects of the encounter based on the requisite level of coding, and by generating a master electronic document that entails the office visit's details. The scribe does indirectly perform come patient care as they are documenting within the formal medical record. Candidates will participate in a formal training program with an experienced orthopedic scribe, first learning basic medical terminology and then spending time learning and understanding the components of a basic orthopedic medical note. Candidates will also receive in-depth training within our EHR so they are able to easily move within the patient chart to perform efficiently and accurately as a scribe. You will also: Record details of the chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam, comorbid conditions, medications, and allergies. Record details of the physical exam including pertinent positives, negatives, and noted abnormalities. Record sufficient information in the physician's assessment and plan based on the level of complexity.
