The corporate headquarters is in East Jordan, Michigan, where the company was founded in 1883.   Location:  This position is located in Franklin, Kentucky.    SUMMARY (2-Month Assignment) The Temporary Maintenance Laborer supports daily operations at the foundry through general labor and facility upkeep. This short-term role is responsible for torch cutting and grinding, cleaning and maintaining work areas, and performing yard cleanup. The position will require a forklift certification or ability to earn a forklift certification, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to perform physical labor in an industrial environment for the duration of the assignment.   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Forklift certified (or ability to become certified) * Prior experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or foundry environment * Familiarity with basic tools and equipment, including torch cutting * Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors * Strong safety awareness and ability to follow established procedures * Dependable and able to commit to the full 2‑month assignment PHYSICAL DEMANDS  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
