• Lead aspects of crew, mission, and task analyses that will validate a crew compliment for the Royal Canadian Navy. This will be achieved through the application of statistical analysis and will prove the validity of theoretical models.
• Research and identify potential sources of data, acquire information through technical information requests (TIRs), collate, manage & manipulate data, conduct modelling & simulation of a ship’s crew utilizing the dataset constructed, identify and implement automation routines to improve efficiency, and interact with the customer as required.
• Lead the database architectural design, identifying data relationships, connections, and how data relates to deliverable outputs.
• Responsible for data processing, cleaning, and analysis for all relevant data sources along with database implementation, documentation, management, and regular upkeep.
• Responsible to design and develop front-end User Interfaces to facilitate and host future analyses to support and drive the completion of deliverables.
• A post-secondary degree with a major in one of the following fields –BSc or BA Managing Data and Information, Statistics, Data science, Mathematics or Applied Computer Science.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience managing a database with large datasets. Regardless of their educational background, applicants must possess advanced computer skills including XML, VBA, SQL, macros, and scripts.
• Expertise with computer techniques and models for analysis, simulation or information systems and documentation.
