RDS Data Analyst

EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

COMPANY BACKGROUND/PRODUCTS

We are a “data aggregation” company with expertise in managing CMS’s Retiree Drug Subsidy (“RDS”) for employer groups. We are looking to enhance our team by hiring an experienced data analyst, preferably with a pharmacy or medical billing background, to leverage our existing core competencies and expand our market share in this market segment. Our data aggregation application allows us to explore various RDS servicing opportunities. This includes opportunities under CMS re-opening provisions that enable us to audit prior year applications and potentially secure additional subsidy dollars for clients under the RDS program.
We are seeking an energetic, experienced and motivated Data Analyst as we continue forward with the administration of the RDS program in addition to the development and implementation of any other potential subsidy reimbursement opportunities.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The RDS (Retiree Drug Subsidy Program) Data Analyst should possess strong analytical skills, quantitative and problem-solving abilities and a thorough knowledge of relational database theory and practice. This position will require excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with data systems team. The Data Analyst will be responsible for the overall integrity of the claim and member data received from vendors and clients and housed in our company database. The RDS Data Analyst works directly with RDS Program Manager.

TYPICAL DUTIES

• Analyze complex data systems and document data elements, data flow, relationships and dependencies
• Develop automated and reusable routines for extracting requested information from database
• Compile detailed reports using data reporting tools such as Excel
• Work with Program Developers and Management providing input regarding company data standards and practices
• Work in partnership with Program Manager and Database Developers to build data transactional and warehouse systems
• Assist with data aggregation projects and application development activities
• Responsible for prescription and medical claims data integrity, data scrubbing, and ad hoc reporting
• Analyze and Audit data to for quality assurance
• Facilitate communications with core group
