Job Description The Data Governance Co-op Student will support RBC’s data management, quality and governance initiatives. This role involves assisting with documentation, analysis and implementation of data standards and processes to ensure RBC’s Financial data is accurate, secure and well-managed across the organization. The role is responsible to assist in the following aspects of requirements delivery – analysis and documentation, management and requirements support – for changes to Business Areas and Technology. As a Data Governance Analyst, your responsibilities on the team will include: Assist in maintaining and updating data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, glossaries and metadata inventories. Collaborate with data stewards, analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements for data processes and standards. Contribute to the mapping of data flows and understanding of how data moves between systems. Participate in data governance meetings and provide administrative support such as note-taking and preparing materials. Generate reports and summaries to communicate data governance activities and progress to stakeholders. What do you need to succeed? Must have: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
