Job Title: Junior Mechanical Systems Engineer Job Location: Mirabel, QC Job Schedule: Day Shift   Essential Functions:   Work in the Mechanical Systems Engineering group for the military CF-18, CT-114 and CH148 Programs. The candidate will assist the technical lead in the assessment of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) CF-18 maintenance program as part of the In-service Monitoring Program (ISMP). The candidate will participate in some of the activities necessary to assure continuing airworthiness of CF-18, CT-114 and CH148 fleet mechanical systems as delegated by Canadian Department of National Defense (DND). Address maintenance snags and analyze them in relation to established design data, in-service experience and the resultant deterioration in the level of system safety; Provide technical support and engineering disposition in order to restore the structural integrity and the systems performance of the damaged structures/systems. The solutions must be in accordance with the customer's requirements, military (MIL-STD or other), civil (FAR, TC), and / or corporate standards in place; Assist the technical leader in developing mechanical system modifications, inspections, standard repairs, changes to the approved maintenance plan and installation work instructions, procedures and recommendations; Identify discrepancies and/or problems with drawings before releasing to production and implements corrective action to ensure the timely release; Support/participate in integration tests on the system; develop test scripts; Assist in  evaluation of the reliability impact of proposed design changes per ARP4761 and / or MIL-STD-882E; Assess contributing factors of system safety and airworthiness degradations by supporting a root cause analysis.
