The Telecommunication Operative is required to respond to a range of requests from external and internal users of services.
To provide an efficient 24/7 Switchboard, Helpdesk and principle communication and information service for NHSL, facilitating prompt communications in response to internal and external stakeholders via telephone, IT including emails and service request software packages in a courteous and professional manner.
To act as a principle point of contact for staff, patients and other external stakeholders out of normal working hours.
To monitor various internal alarm systems and summon key staff in an emergency situation including but not limited to medical gas alarms, blood fridge alarms, fire alarms and major incidents.
Respond to emergencies, communicating with emergency services e.g. Police, Fire, and Scottish Ambulance Services etc.
To respond as required to the access/egress systems within University Hospital Monklands.
