[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWv3K-ajGAs&list=PLcmwclxdRGdtVfRRPhIkdNovIvqBYBdeA&index=1] This position is responsible for providing clinically therapeutic programs and treatment in the inpatient behavioral health units.  Under the supervision of the manager/director and in collaboration with multidisciplinary treatment team, the Mental Health Professional (MHP) is responsible for providing various modalities of treatment from a trauma informed clinical model that can include group, individual and family therapy.  The MHP is responsible for the psychosocial interventions established in the patient treatment plan.  The MHP will use their education and training to assist in stabilizing and treating patients during their stay on the unit.  The MHP provides feedback and input to the multidisciplinary team regarding their assessment of the patient strengths, capacities, and responsiveness to the treatment.  In conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, the MHP will assist in supporting discharge planning efforts and interventions that support rapid stabilization and movement of the patient back into the community or the next level of care.
