JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be to assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a supportive atmosphere.

SKILLS

• Proficient IT skills for maintaining electronic records and communication.
• Experience in home care or care home settings is highly desirable.
• Ability to create and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
• A compassionate approach towards patient care with a strong sense of empathy.
• Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting patients when necessary.

• Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support patients in mobility and transferring safely from one location to another.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate care plans and documentation for each patient.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.
• Drive patients to appointments or activities as required.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care.
