We are an acute care admitting unit that initiates the plan of care until patients are transferred to their specialized units. Our 11E nurses work with telemetry, central lines, tracheostomies, heparin drips, insulin drips, and administer blood products. Number of Beds: 24 Patient Populations/Typical Diagnoses: Non-ICU general medicine, surgical, neurosciences, and oncology patients Targeted Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4 11E CIU received the 2024 Silver Beacon award.
